ALU LIKE, Inc. is a private, non-profit service organization established in 1975 to help Native Hawaiians achieve social and economic self-sufficiency. Its mission is centered on the principle of ʻe alu like mai kākouʻ (working together) to foster community development, employment, and health among Native Hawaiian families and individuals. The organization's Kumu Kahi (Elderly Services) Department specifically advocates for and supports Native Hawaiian elders through the Ke Ola Pono No Nā Kūpuna Program. This program focuses on preserving health, cultural identity, and dignity for kūpuna (seniors) aged 60 and older. It is primarily funded through the Older Americans Act, Title VI, and provides a range of supportive services including nutrition, transportation, and health promotion.
