WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED! FIXED ROUTES: Who can ride the General Public Fixed Route? Fixed Route service is open to everyone! Children 5 years and under ride free and must be accompanied by an adult. Senior citizens, ages 65 and older, who are registered in our Senior Transit program, also ride free with their ID card. (Call (272) 424-4044 to get signed up!) How to catch a Fixed-route Bus: You can catch a Fixed Route bus at any bus stop. The bus stops are listed on the schedules, (see the drop-down above, named GENERAL PUBLIC FIXED ROUTE SCHEDULES) or flag the Fixed Route bus down anywhere along the route, where it is safe for the bus to stop. If you plan to flag the bus down, it’s a good idea to give our dispatcher a call so we can alert the driver to look for you. (570) 888-7330 Prompt 2) How to read the bus schedules: The times shown in BOLD type are exact — you can expect the bus to be there at that time. The times in LIGHT type are estimated. You can expect the bus to be close to that time. The grey spaces designate the route of the bus, so you know the bus will not automatically stop there, but you can flag the bus at that location. SHARED RIDES: BEST TRANSIT operates a Door-to-Door transportation program for those who reside in Bradford, Sullivan and Tioga counties. “Shared Ride” means that the service is open to the public, if you qualify for one of the programs, but is not a taxi service. The Shared Ride service will pick you up at your door and transport you to your destination. Since the service is “Shared,” there may be other people on the vehicle besides you, or the driver may need to pick up other passengers prior to dropping you off at your destination.
