Adult Resource Alliance
The Adult Resource Alliance, initially established in 1975 as the Yellowstone County Council on Aging, has a long-standing history of serving older adults in Yellowstone County, Montana. In July 2025, it strategically merged with Big Sky Senior Services to form Allies in Aging, an organization dedicated to empowering, protecting, and connecting seniors. This merger aimed to create a more comprehensive support system, enabling older adults to maintain independence, dignity, and a high quality of life within their community. Allies in Aging functions as a community-driven nonprofit, offering a wide array of programs and services designed to address the diverse needs of seniors, their families, and caregivers. Their core mission is to provide effective services and lead collaborative efforts to ensure seniors remain independent and engaged. They focus on strengthening independence, building community connections, and ensuring no one faces the challenges of aging alone, particularly in areas like housing, transportation, food security, in-home care, access to benefits, and elder abuse prevention. The organization specializes in providing information and assistance on long-term care solutions, public benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, and various support options. They are also involved in initiatives to decrease the utilization of emergency and hospital services among 'super-utilizers' in Yellowstone County through their Care Transition Team, providing wraparound services, home visits, and individualized care plans.
