AgeWell Services

AgeWell Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving older adults in Muskegon, Oceana, and Ottawa counties in West Michigan. The agency began providing its core services in 1973, evolving from its origins as Nutritional Services for Older Americans (NSOA) and Meals on Wheels. Its overarching mission is to promote healthy aging and maximize independence by providing vital connections through nutrition, wellness, and supportive services within the community. AgeWell Services offers a comprehensive array of programs designed to keep seniors nourished, active, learning, and living independently. These include the prominent Meals on Wheels program, Lunch & Activity Centers, Senior Medical Transportation, and Elder Abuse Awareness initiatives. While the Wellness Center and its associated Driftwood Café at Tanglewood Park will cease operations on May 22, 2025, due to budget constraints, the organization is adapting to ensure the continued delivery of essential services. The organization emphasizes maintaining vital connections for seniors, offering social opportunities, wellness resources, and advocating for older adults. Its programs are supported by community donors, federal and state grants, and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. AgeWell Services aims to redefine aging by empowering individuals aged 60 and over to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
