This encompasses most of West and Central Florida. The operation employs approximately 275 paramedics and EMTs and handles an average of 80,000 calls annually. AMR West Florida provides service to many local events including fairs, concerts and sporting events. The operation is also involved with charitable events and participates in American Heart Association functions, local blood drives and the MS 150. AMR West Florida offers a variety of medical training classes including CPR, first aid, HIV-bloodborne pathogen training, "What To Do Before Help Arrives" training, oxygen delivery methods training, Medicare-Medicaid guidelines for reimbursement training, PCS education, bariatric transport education and EMD education.
