AU Nursing Associates, Inc. (AUNA) is the faculty practice division of the Augusta University College of Nursing, established in 2004 and officially launched on February 15, 2006. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, AUNA serves to advance the education, scholarship, and service missions of the College of Nursing by providing faculty members with opportunities to maintain active nursing practice as part of their teaching roles. While not a traditional senior residential care facility, AUNA offers a broad range of high-quality, cost-effective health services through partnerships with various organizations, including healthcare providers, community agencies, and industries. These services aim to improve population health through prevention, early intervention, disease management, and referrals. AUNA's offerings include contracted care, assessment, and consultation services. Additionally, it provides comprehensive Employee Health and Wellness Services, which encompass employee physicals, drug screenings, health assessments, diagnostic testing, wellness visits with personalized improvement plans, disease management, health risk assessments, and health education/cessation programs and fairs. The Nurse-Managed Health Center, which operates under the Augusta University College of Nursing, offers convenient primary care services, including same-day and walk-in appointments, and focuses on acute and chronic disease management. This integrated approach allows faculty to integrate practice activities with teaching and research, enriching the educational experience for students. AUNA also manages the contracting, financial, and logistical tasks for faculty practice activities.
