Compassionate Quality care Hospice is a comprehensive, holistic program of care and support for terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice care changes the focus to comfort care (palliative care) for pain relief and symptom management instead of care to cure the patient’s illness. Experienced and Supportive Hospice Care involves a multi-disciplinary approach to care for individuals. As a team we focus on pain management, along with emotional and spiritual support. Care is specifically customized to meet the needs and wishes of the patient and their loved ones. Hospice care is not curative care, but the focus is on quality of life and comfort. Cost Medicare typically covers hospice care at 100% based on the level of care elected. The daily payment rates cover the hospice’s costs for providing services included in patient care plans.
