Having been in the long term care business for 30+ years I have found that it is truly a calling to work in the geriatric realm of health care. Most facilities offer a pretty standard set of care and similar programs for their patients. The thing that sets a facility apart is the manner in which these services are delivered. The longevity of the staff here at Macon RHC speaks volumes to the commitment and amount of time vested in the facility and in its patients and families. We have staff from department managers to direct care staff to housekeeping and dietary staff who have worked in this facility for 30+ years.
