For over 96 years, the team at the Vision Resource Center of Berks County provides assistance with daily activities, safe travel, and support groups for individuals with vision impairment and blindness. Our goal is to help enable these individuals to maintain their quality of life and independent living. Two steps to get started:  Schedule an intake appointment  Sign a release form for a copy of the most recent vision report CONTACT US Meets Monthly Support Groups Sight Loss Support Group Provide support and problem-solving for clients. This meeting is designed to discuss the latest technology and medical breakthroughs that may be of interest to the attendees. This meeting is open to individuals who are blind or are visually impaired and their family members, friends, and caregivers. Spanish Speaking Sight Loss Provide support for those within Berks County who are blind or have vision loss that feel more comfortable within the Spanish speaking community. This group meets to discuss problems and possible solutions for difficulties they are having dealing with everyday life with their visual impairment. CONTACT US Meets Monthly Social and Recreational Activities Lunch Bunch Our lunch brunch group meets at various restaurants throughout Berks County as a means of socialization. This group is open to those with visual impairments or who are blind, as well as their family members, friends, and caregivers. Social/Recreational Social/Recreational Programs include a musical and lunch, crafting sessions, dances, holiday shopping, guided walking tours, pool parties, trivia/game days, and descriptive movies.
