Pratt, MD, and Sarah Meyer Pratt Emergency Center at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. They are responsible for the immediate evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of acute illnesses and traumatic injuries in both adult and pediatric patients. The team is trained to handle life-threatening emergencies, providing resuscitation and stabilization for patients, including preparation for transfer to a Level I trauma center if necessary. The physicians and physician assistants at Acs Emergency Physicians are recognized as experts in emergency medicine and are involved in teaching healthcare students. The entire team, including nurses and EMTs at the Pratt Emergency Center, undergoes specialized training and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Basic Life Support. They serve the communities of Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head, Yemassee, and Ridgeland, providing 24/7 emergency care. The emergency center they staff is a 20,500-square-foot facility with 26 private treatment rooms, including two trauma rooms.
