Aasta Assisted Living, formerly known as Royal Gardens of Camarillo, is a large, single-story assisted living and memory care community located in Camarillo, California. The facility is licensed for 130 residents and is situated on over four acres of land, featuring amenities such as a rose garden, an aviary, and walking paths. The community aims to provide a supportive and engaging environment where residents can maintain their independence while receiving assistance with daily living activities. These services include medication management, bathing, dressing, and personal care, all under the supervision of a clinical team that includes a Community Physician, full-time LVNs, and 24-hour caregivers. Aasta Assisted Living utilizes an electronic health record system called Eldermark to ensure timely and documented care. The facility offers a variety of social, educational, and entertaining activities to enrich the lives of its residents. They have a new wheelchair-accessible van for resident appointments and outings. A unique aspect of their care is the partnership with the Center for Applied Research in Dementia, implementing a Montessori-based approach to resident care, making them the only community in Camarillo to do so. Aasta Assisted Living also provides specialized memory care for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia, with programs designed to be therapeutic and supportive.
