ACTA currently provides door-to-door service, and a convenient Southern Alamance route? ACTA connects with PART for daily services to Chapel Hill. ACTA operates 27 vehicles, and all but 3 vans are equipped with lifts for special needs as well as the general public. ACTA drivers are each CDL certified and trained in First Aid and CPR. ACTA was established in 2002 by Alamance County Board of Commissioners. An independent Board of Trustees overseed ACTA. ACTA operates via state and federal annual grant programs with a required local 10% match funding from Alamance County. ACTA provides over 60,000 passenger trips each year, including Friendship Adult Day Services, and Community Services Meal sites.
