Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital

Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital (APD) is a non-profit, community-based healthcare organization located in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Established in 1932 through a bequest from Alice Peck Day, the hospital has evolved from a small cottage hospital into a 25-bed critical access hospital and a member of the Dartmouth Health system. APD is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of its community, serving over 15,000 patients annually from approximately 20 communities in Vermont and New Hampshire. APD is particularly recognized for its comprehensive senior care offerings. It features a dedicated Geriatrics department that provides patient- and family-centered care, focusing on wellness, preventative medicine, and continuity of care for aging adults, including a Senior Care program that offers home visits. The hospital's Emergency Department is senior-friendly and holds Level 1 Geriatric Emergency Department (GED) accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians, making it the first critical access hospital in the U.S. to achieve this distinction. The campus also includes APD Lifecare, a non-profit senior living community comprising two facilities: Harvest Hill, offering independent and assisted living, and The Woodlands, an independent living facility. These facilities collectively support over 150 residents. Beyond senior care, APD specializes in primary care, short-stay ambulatory surgery, and a wide range of other healthcare specialties. It is known for its personalized attention, high-quality care, and a culture of kindness. The hospital campus spans over 18 acres, housing a Multi-Specialty Clinic, an Infusion Clinic, a Surgical Short Stay unit, and various surgical specialties.
