Commercial St, Neenah, WI Friendship Place encourages adults with mental illness to live well by fostering an environment that provides members with peer support, advocacy, and education. Friendship Place, Inc. is a non-profit social, educational, and recreational mental health outreach program for people with mental illness. It is designed to encourage participation in activities and opportunities both at the outreach center and in the community. We are set up to give clients informal counseling and regular face-to-face contact with staff to assist in a variety of problem-solving activities. We exist to reach out and make a difference to people with mental illness and encourage them to be more active, contributing members of our community. Our programs are deisgned to encourage members to live well by fostering an envronment that provides peer support, advocacy, and education. Programs include informational opportunities for informal counseling and therapy through arts and crafts; cooking and nutrition classes; recreational activiities; life skills classes; and community outings to reconnect individuals with mental illness with their community. Most of our activities are free unless otherwise noted on the monthly calendar. Please contact me!
