Lancaster, Ohio Corps Senior Services Information The Samaritan Center The Adult Day Services Program at The Samaritan Center provides an affordable alternative to nursing home or assisted living placement for those adults who require assistance and supervision with daily activities. The goal of the center is to “Change how you live, not where you live.” Our mission is to provide a safe and protective environment for adults and elderly who need socialization, supervision and assistance during the day. Personal funding is often available through Medicare, Passport, Veterans Affairs and the United Way of Fairfield County. Since the Center is the only one of its kind in the area, it is open to residents of Fairfield County, and also and surrounding counties of Hocking and Perry County. BENEFITS OF THE SALVATION ARMY’S ADULT DAY SERVICES Helps adults and seniors remain in their homes by delaying placement in an expensive permanent care facility by more than a year, on average. Allows caregivers to maintain gainful employment while their loved one receives the care and support needed to provide peace of mind. Provides a solution to 24-hour care and supervision needs. Helps adults and seniors remain active and independent. Provides opportunities for meaningful activities and socialization. Promotes better health and well-being. Supplements in-home care services.
