New Hampshire Medicaid (Medical Assistance) is a federal and state funded health care program that serves a wide range of individuals and families who meet certain eligibility requirements. The program works to ensure that eligible adults and children have access to needed health care services by enrolling and paying providers to deliver covered services to eligible recipients.

Specific income and resource limits are used to determine eligibility for each Medicaid group. While non-financial information is generally the same for each Medicaid group, there are some differences – for example, an application for services under the Aid to the Needy Blind eligibility group requires an individual to have a medical necessity determination of legally blind, while an application for services for seniors has no medical necessity requirement, but does have an age requirement.

NH Medicaid provides payment for health care services ranging from routine preventive medical care for children to institutional care for the elderly and includes comprehensive benefits such as doctor visits, hospitalization, prescription drugs, mental health services, dental care, vision care, and long-term care services.
