Apple Health is the name for Medicaid in Washington. Apple Health is free or low-cost health insurance coverage for those who qualify. As a Washington State resident, you and your family may be eligible for free or low-cost health care. Through Apple Health (Medicaid), you have access to medical, dental, and vision care, as well as behavioral health services—including mental health and substance use treatment and prevention, recovery support, and housing and employment services.

Eligibility includes the aged, blind, and disabled. Also, adults with incomes up to 138% of FPL; children with household incomes up to 200% of FPL are eligible for no-premium Medicaid; children with household incomes 200-300% of FPL eligible (with premium); pregnant women with incomes up to 185% of FPL. Apple Health (Washington's Medicaid/CHIP) provides health insurance coverage for qualifying children, pregnant women, parents, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

Apple Health (Medicaid) covers a wide range of health care services. The coverage depends on the program in which the client is enrolled. All plans include essential health benefits such as doctor visits, emergency care, prescriptions, maternity care, and preventive services. Long-term services and supports are available for eligible individuals who need assistance with daily living activities.

When applying, we process applications for Washington apple health medicaid within forty-five calendar days, with the following exceptions: If you are pregnant, we process your application within fifteen calendar days; If you are applying for a program that requires a disability decision, we process your application within sixty calendar days.
