Apple Health is the name for Medicaid in Washington. Apple Health is free or low-cost health insurance coverage for those who qualify. As a Washington State resident, you and your family may be eligible for free or low-cost health care. When applying, we process applications for Washington apple health medicaid within forty-five calendar days, with the following exceptions: If you are pregnant, we process your application within fifteen calendar days; If you are applying for a program that requires a disability decision, we process your application within sixty calendar days. Coverage will begin on the first day of the month in which the application was submitted. You'll have the option to select a managed care plan online or you'll be auto-enrolled into a plan.
